Guide for members

Looking for a life partner for yourself or a family member? Here is everything you can do, from sign-up to your first chat.

Create your account

Joining is free and takes about two minutes.

  1. Choose "Individual"Click Register and pick Individual. Your country is selected for you automatically; change it if needed.
  2. Fill in your basicsYour name, email, mobile number and a strong password. Your mobile and email stay private unless you choose to show them.
  3. Confirm your emailOpen the link we email you. Confirmed accounts are trusted more and can recover their password.
  4. Sign inLog in with your email and password. The profile wizard opens so you can finish your profile.

Creating a profile for a son, daughter or sibling? That's fine. Just make sure they agree to it.

Complete the profile wizard

A complete profile gets many more interests. The wizard guides you through it in five short steps.

  1. About youBasics and career: date of birth, height, religion, education, profession and city.
  2. Family & lifestyleYour family background, habits, hobbies and interests, so people see the real you.
  3. Partner preferencesAge range, location, religion and other qualities you're looking for. These power your suggested matches.
  4. PhotosAdd up to 3 clear photos. Crop each one in the built-in cropper before it uploads.
  5. DoneYour profile goes live. You can edit any section later from My profile.

Your progress is saved after every step, so you can stop and come back any time.

Profiles with a clear photo and a short "About me" get the most responses.

Send interest & get connected

On ShadiMarkaz, a chat starts with an accepted interest. This keeps conversations respectful and wanted.

  1. Send interestOn any profile, click Send interest. You can add a short note (up to 300 characters) to introduce yourself.
  2. They're notifiedThe member gets a notification and an email. They can Accept or Decline.
  3. Accepted = connectedOnce accepted, you're connected: chat opens, and you can see each other's contact details (if they've chosen to show them).
  4. Changed your mind?You can withdraw an interest while it's still pending.

If someone already sent you an interest, sending one back accepts theirs.

A decline is private; you'll just see "Not interested". You can try again after 30 days.

You can send up to 30 interests a day.

Manage interests & shortlist

All your requests and saved profiles in one place: Dashboard > Interests.

  1. ReceivedInterests other members sent you. Accept or decline them here or on your dashboard home.
  2. SentInterests you've sent, with their status: pending, accepted or not interested.
  3. ConnectedEveryone you're connected with, with a Message button to jump into chat.
  4. ShortlistTap the heart on any profile to save it privately. Nobody is notified.

The Interests link in your sidebar shows how many new requests are waiting.

Chat with your connections

Real-time chat with everyone you're connected with, right in your dashboard.

  1. Open ChatGo to Dashboard > Chat, or click Chat now / Message on a connected profile.
  2. Send messages, photos & voice notesType a message, attach a photo, or hold the mic to record a voice note.
  3. React, reply & deleteReact with an emoji, reply to a specific message, or delete a message you sent.
  4. Never miss a messageNew messages pop up live, show on the bell, and can reach your phone through browser notifications.

Starting a new chat may need a paid package; replying to someone who wrote to you is always possible.

Profiles managed by a marriage bureau show "Chat with bureau". Your message goes to the bureau, who replies for their client.

Work with a marriage bureau

Prefer expert help? A trusted bureau can manage your search for you.

  1. Find a bureauBrowse Bureaus in the menu and open any bureau's profile.
  2. Request to joinSend a request from the bureau's page. They'll accept or decline.
  3. Or accept an invitationBureaus can invite you. See Dashboard > Invitations to accept or decline.
  4. Leave any timeYou stay in control. You can leave a bureau's client list whenever you want.

Settings, privacy & safety

You decide who sees what. Dashboard > Settings has everything in one place.

  1. Profile & accountUpdate your name, email and mobile, or change your password.
  2. Privacy & notificationsChoose whether connected members can see your mobile and email, and which emails and alerts you receive.
  3. Block or reportOn any profile, Block stops that person from contacting you, and Report alerts our team. Reports are confidential.
  4. Danger zoneClose your account from Settings if you've found your match. We'd love to hear your story!

Never share money or bank details with anyone you meet online. Meet in public places and involve your family.

Upgrade your package

Free gets you started. A paid package unlocks more chats, searches and contact views.

  1. Compare packagesGo to Dashboard > Subscription or Plans to compare what each package includes.
  2. Choose and payPick a package and follow the payment steps. It activates right away.
  3. Enjoy the extrasStart new chats, view more contact details per day and stand out in search.

Guide for marriage bureaus

Run your marriage bureau online: a public profile, client management, social media posting, interests and chat.

Register & get approved

Every bureau is reviewed by our team before it goes live. This keeps families safe.

  1. Register as a bureauClick Register, choose Bureau and enter your bureau's name, contact details and password.
  2. Wait for approvalOur team reviews new bureaus, usually within one working day.
  3. Welcome emailOnce approved you'll get a welcome email with your account details and current package.
  4. Sign inLog in with your email and password to open your bureau dashboard.

Update your bureau profile

Your public page at /bureaus/your-name is your shop window. Make it shine.

  1. Open ProfileIn your dashboard sidebar, click Profile.
  2. Logo & cover photoUpload your logo and a wide cover photo. They appear on your bureau card and public page.
  3. About your bureauDescribe your services, experience and the communities you serve. Add the year you were established.
  4. Contact & addressAdd your address, phone numbers and website so families can reach you.

Bureaus with a logo, cover and a detailed About section get far more requests.

Connect your social media

Link your Facebook Page, Instagram and X once. New clients can then be shared automatically.

  1. Open Settings > Social media accountsEach platform has its own card with a Connect button.
  2. Connect Facebook PageSign in with Facebook and choose the Page to post to. Posts go to a "Clients" album.
  3. Connect InstagramYour Instagram must be a Business or Creator account linked to your Facebook Page.
  4. Connect XSign in with X and allow posting.

Posting requires a paid bureau package. Free bureaus can connect accounts and post after upgrading.

Client phone numbers and emails are never shown on posts. Posts link to the client's profile.

Create a client

Add a client's profile in minutes. You manage it on their behalf.

  1. Go to Clients > Add clientFill in the client's basics, family, lifestyle and partner preferences.
  2. Upload photosPick a photo and crop it right away. Add more from the Edit client page.
  3. Share on social mediaKeep "Upload on social platforms" ticked to post the client automatically once the first photo is uploaded.
  4. Edit any timeOpen a client from your list to update details, photos or login access.

Use Preview post on the Edit client page to see the social card before anything is posted.

Invite, add & search clients

Already have members on ShadiMarkaz? Invite them to your client list, and find any client fast.

  1. Search membersOn Clients, start typing an email, phone, profile slug or name in "Invite an individual".
  2. Send an invitationAdd an optional message. They get an email with your bureau details and Accept / Decline buttons.
  3. Accept join requestsMembers can also request to join from your public page. Accept them from your dashboard.
  4. Manage your listYour Clients list shows every client with quick Edit, Post and Remove actions.

When a member accepts, their profile is linked to your bureau and you can manage and chat with them.

Send interest & connect

Your bureau can connect with members and other bureaus as itself.

  1. Find a profile or bureauSearch Profiles or Bureaus and open the one you're interested in.
  2. Send interestClick Send interest and add a short note about why you're reaching out.
  3. Wait for acceptanceThey get a notification and email. Once they accept, you're connected.
  4. Track everythingDashboard > Interests shows Received, Sent and Connected.

These are your bureau's own connections, separate from the clients you manage.

Use chat

Every conversation in one inbox: your clients, enquiries about your clients, and your connections.

  1. Chat with your clientsMessage any linked client directly from Dashboard > Chat.
  2. Answer enquiriesWhen a member clicks "Chat with bureau" on a client's profile, it appears under "Enquiries about your clients". Reply on your client's behalf.
  3. Chat with connectionsOnce an interest is accepted, chat opens with that member or bureau.
  4. Photos, voice & live alertsSend photos and voice notes, react and reply. New messages show live and on the bell.

Members can't message your clients directly. Every enquiry comes to you first.

Upgrade your package

  1. Open PlansIn your dashboard sidebar, click Plans to see your current package and every option.
  2. CompareCheck daily searches, contact views, video calls, verified badge, priority listing and social auto-posting.
  3. UpgradeChoose a package and complete payment. It activates immediately.

Settings & account

Keep your account secure and up to date.

  1. Change passwordUse a strong, unique password and update it from Settings.
  2. Social accountsReconnect a platform if its card shows "Reconnect needed".
  3. Danger zoneClose your bureau account from Settings if you no longer need it.
